Layers on a timeline
Footage, images, shapes, and text each sit on independent layers with their own position, scale, rotation, and opacity, keyframed over time to create motion.
Keyframing & expressions
Any property can be keyframed to change over time; for repetitive or procedural motion, JavaScript-based expressions can drive properties automatically instead of hand-keyframing every frame.
Compositing & effects
